Your Contract is written to protect and preserve your rights on the job. State and Federal Laws are also written to make sure you are protected in the workplace.

You Have a Right to Minimum Wage and Overtime

You Have a Right to a Safe Work Environment, Safety Training and Information

Contact the local office of  OSHA (Baltimore/Washington Area Local Department of  (Occupational Safety & Health Administration).410-865-2055

You Have a Right to Worker's Compensation and Paid Medical Care if Injured on the Job

If you believe your rights have been violated, contact the State of Maryland, Department of Labor at (410) 767-2236.

You May Have a Right to Disability Benefits if Unable to Work for up to One Year Due to Illness or Pregnancy

Contact the State of Maryland / Virginia Employment Development Department (EDD) in your area.

You May Have a Right to Unemployment Insurance Benefits if You Lose Your Job

For Disability Benefits and Unemployment Insurance, contact the local office of the State of Marylandf Employment Development Department (EDD).
